Even if you aren’t in to astrology, you’re probably familiar with the term Mercury Retrograde. Every year we experience three of these, and during this time, it appears as if Mercury is going backwards. The negative hype given to Mercury Retrogrades include things like delays, confusion, and frustration. During this time, plans can become out of whack and there can be general miscommunication in different areas of life. The good news is there is a positive spin to this time period. It’s all about the theme of “re”, such as re-thinking, re-assessing or re-doing. This time gives you a chance to re-evaluate areas of your life and refine things as needed. It’s a great time to reflect on the past and see what you’ve learned and where you can make improvements going forward. Another way to take advantage of this time is to notice where you’re placing your energy and determine if there are any changes you’d like to make. For example, is family your biggest priority, but lately you haven’t spent much time with them? What other areas require more attention and focus?
The planet Mercury rules many areas, including communication, travel, contracts, and automobiles. Below are some tips to help you during the upcoming Retrograde. · Remain flexible. · Stay present and grounded. A few extra yoga or meditation classes may help! · Allow extra time while traveling, attending meetings, appointments, events, etc. · Avoid signing contracts. You can review projects and plans during this time, but try and wait until a few days after Mercury is direct again to make final decisions. · Reconfirm and verify plans, appointments, details—you get the idea! Don’t be surprised if notice an extra dose of coincidences in your life and be aware that your intuition make be peaked as well.
