Expressing gratitude helps you stay in the moment, encourages you to value your current life experience and helps you energetically attract more of the same. During the month of June, I received a message from spirit to focus more on what I am grateful for in my life. The message directed me to start a daily journal for the month of July about something I am grateful for and allow the flow of inspiration from the day or whatever I’m pulled towards to be my focus. On July 1, 2016 I began a daily Gratitude Journal for each day of the month and the following is my gratitude journal. It was also communicated to share with you how this experience impacted me once I was done. I will share more on that in a separate blog. Day 1: I am grateful for....... my strong physical health and for my high energy levels that allow me to be physically active, work toward my goals and help me in unlimited ways along my personal path.
Day 2: I am grateful for all of my teachers and those who have inspired me to step into a better version of self. To those who showed up to help me look at the shadow aspects of myself, so I could bring greater awareness to these parts of me and illuminate them with self-love and acceptance. To those who saw my potential and light with unwavering unconditional love and support. I am grateful to all of you as well as my future teachers who have not yet appeared. Day 3: I am grateful for my diverse family, including my adopted family/family of origin, birth family, friends that are family and Soul family, many of which are the same people. I am grateful for the unconditional love, connection, bonding, acceptance and support from my immediate and extended adopted family, the gift of life from my birth mother and the opportunity to reunite with her and meet several relatives from my blood family in Ireland, and for the spiritual and heart connection with members of my soul family. I love you all and am deeply grateful to have you with me along this journey. Day 4: I am grateful for my spiritual awakening. Although it has been deeply challenging and painful at times, I am grateful for the many blessings it has brought, including new levels of awareness, healing and self-love. I feel deep gratitude in knowing what my life purpose is and am grateful for the passion and drive I have with this heart-based connection. This knowingness allows me to live a life of authenticity, where I use my gifts to help others see their own light. Day 5: I am grateful for having access to clean running water and healthy food, a safe place to live and clothing. Although these are basic things in life to many of us, there are many people who don’t have access to these important things that each and every one of us deserve. Day 6: I am grateful for the endless beauty found in nature. I am grateful for the wisdom and healing powers that I am blessed to connect with and appreciate when I have the opportunity to spend time in nature. Day 7: I am grateful for the people and situations that arrive right on time to help me see my opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you for showing up and helping me along my path. I trust there is always a bigger plan and bring myself back to being in the now when I go off course. Day 8: I am grateful to live close to the ocean and be able to enjoy it year round. Today I am especially grateful to have spent time there to energetically cleanse and detox. I am grateful for the healing energies of the ocean and the way it helps me regroup and ground. Day 9: I am grateful for messages that arrive at the perfect time in a way designed to get my attention. Lately I have received several messages from animals and numbers and they are clear and exactly what I need in the moment on my path. I am grateful to the universe for providing guidance and support and doing so in a way that connects with me personally. Thank you. Day 10: I am grateful for the wisdom I’ve gained from all my “failures” and knowing through experience that there are never failures, only opportunities to grow and further awaken. I am grateful for the courage I found to take myself out of my comfort zone and actively choose to be uncomfortable and in the unknown vs. stay safe. There will be more times of navigating in the unknown and I am grateful that I can rely on my faith and personal strength and know what truly matters. Day 11: I am grateful for my Soul Family and experiencing these sacred connections. I am grateful for the love, support and acceptance they provide. Universe, thank you for providing me extra support along my path. Day 12: I am grateful to know that I can recreate and change my life at any time. I am grateful for my faith in knowing that new beginnings are healthy and part of the flow of life. I am also grateful for letting go of so much that no longer serves me as we wrap up 2016, The Year of Completion. Day 13: I am incredibly grateful for the beautiful energy and wisdom found in the Divine Feminine. I am grateful that I have connected with this powerful, compassionate and loving energy and have seen others blossom with this blessing from the divine. I am grateful for all that the Divine Feminine represents and has taught me. Among many gifts, it has helped me to slow down, listen and connect with my soul (feminine) vs. jump into action mode (masculine). It has helped me rebalance my energies, use my intuition as a strong guide and live in the heart vs. head. I am also grateful that the universe is shifting more into the Divine Feminine and am looking forward to seeing more of the powerful shifts that will unfold. Day 14: I am grateful for fresh air, sunshine, blue skies, friendships, connections and love. I’m grateful for the opportunity to begin each day with a positive outlook and new opportunities. Day 15: I am grateful for my strong intuition and connection to my inner knowing. This is a powerful gift that all of us can tap into anytime. I am grateful for all the lessons, truths and wisdom this ability provides and I cherish it. Day 16: I am grateful to know that I am completely in charge of all that I create in my world. This empowers me to stay in the moment and remember that I influence each aspect of my experience. Day 17: I am grateful for my niece and nephew. They remind me to enjoy the moment, see the magic in life and love without conditions. Thank you for bringing these amazing souls into my world and into the lives of many others. I am grateful and blessed. Day 18: I am grateful for animals and the way they communicate with us. I am grateful for their powerful and wise messages. I am grateful when I connect with them as they help me with parts of my journey. Day 19: I am grateful for the moon and its powerful cycles. The moon helps illuminate areas that require some attention, encourage us to connect with our intuition, set our intentions and guide us through the many cycles and cosmic influences we experience. Thank you beautiful moon for the many gifts you provide for us. Your power and allure are stunning and I appreciate you. Day 20: I am grateful for the beauty of Mother Nature. I appreciate the mountains, ocean, trees, flowers, dirt, sky….all of it. The messages and therapeutic energy found in nature is often where I find healing. It’s safe, beautify, and offers wisdom when I listen. Thank you Gaia, Mother of Earth. I am grateful for all that you’ve shown me and your deep wisdom. Day 21: I am grateful for a healthy self-care plan which includes organic and healthy food, physical fitness, rest, time in nature, holistic treatments, time with those I love and my healing practice. I am also grateful that I can modify this anytime as needed to benefit my overall holistic health. Day 22: I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue to evolve in my consciousness. Day 23: I am very grateful for the more noticeable shift into Divine Feminine energies. It is much needed at this time on our planet. I appreciate all the gifts and deeper levels of awareness it brings and how it is impacting all things, from the presidential election and other world events to personal growth and a deeper knowing among many souls as they shift. Day 24: I am grateful for the messages and loving nudges from the universe. When I am present and grounded, I receive clear messages that encourage me along my path. These moments are especially appreciated during times of uncertainty and help remind us we are always loved and supported. Day 25: I am grateful for the simple things in life that go a long way. Like a great cup of coffee, catching up with a friend, fresh air, my comfy bed. I am grateful for these moments and experiences and allow myself to be present. Day 26: Today I’m grateful that the universe always reveals what you need at the most perfect of times. I am also grateful for the opportunity to recreate my reality and bring in what I desire anytime. Day 27: I am grateful for connections and the value they bring. I am grateful for new relationships, new beginnings and new insights. Day 28: I am grateful for messages and wisdom from one of my spirit animals, Tiger. Thank you for the fun and magical nudges this week. Your messages show up to remind me of my strengths and to illuminate areas in order to help me grow. Day 29: I am grateful for a previous diagnosis of “dis”ease. This was an incredibly important catalyst for me that was pivotal in my awakening and directed me onto my spiritual path. This experience has allowed me to heal deeply and find my authentic self and deeper personal purpose. It has also helped me understand others with “dis”ease and help guide them on their journey of self-discovery and finding the root of their physical manifestation so they too can heal. Day 30: I am grateful for being an Empath & for the intuitive abilities that have been activated within me. These gifts come with some challenges, many lessons and countless blessings. I am grateful for them and do my best to discover how to use them to serve a higher purpose and promote healing within me and the world around me. Day 31: I am grateful for my faith in my journey, the lessons, wisdom & growth I’ve experienced, the people who arrived to teach me what I needed to learn, my family, friends from all parts of my life, romantic and unconditional love, and my faith in myself and others. This practice has helped me search deeper for the true meaning of gratitude.
