![]() Many of us go through our life experience taking the simplest of things for granted such as food, water, clothing, shelter and an overall feeling of safety. We simply expect to feel safe, head home to our protective shelter, where there is warmth, food, and all of our creature comforts. For most people, this feeling of safety..... becomes like a built-in expectation that lives in our subconscious, a place where we lack any experience that is different.
However, the universe in its amazing wisdom creates opportunities for us to experience a different perspective and shift our view when it becomes too comfortable and limited. Then in comes those moments that instantly move us into a feeling of gratitude for what we have. These awakened states become triggered for different reasons. Sometimes it's our personal experience with loss or other times it’s seeing someone in your life experience a loss. As these events shake us to the core, they also bring us back to a balanced reality and help us to remember what is truly important. During this state of being, we look around and become grateful for everything. I know for me it often feels like my heart could burst out of my chest because I’m so incredibly grateful and filled with love. It’s during these moments that we truly raise our vibration and expand our capacity to experience all the blessings that gratitude brings. A wonderful gift with gratitude is when we are grateful, we invite more of the same into our life. When we surround ourselves with this healthy and loving perspective, we allow this beautiful flow to create more things that match the vibration of gratitude. You’ll notice you have more pleasant, positive and loving experiences when you are in this flow with the universe. As the American annual holiday of Thanksgiving arrives, many of us are feeling grateful and nostalgic about all the things we truly are happy and appreciative of in our lives. There are many happy hearts and loving exchanges and gatherings as people take time to disengage from their busy lives and connect during this special time of the year. A loving gift we can give to ourselves is to keep a connection to this higher vibration of gratitude every day of the year, not just during the Thanksgiving season. I have made it a personal practice to regularly express gratitude for the special “things” in my life. My gratitude list doesn’t include materialistic things. My gratitude list includes what truly matters to me which is love, the people in my life, living a life of authenticity, and the opportunity to continue my awakening on my spiritual journey. I am also equally grateful for all of my painful and challenging experiences, which continue to bring tremendous personal growth and wisdom to me. So during this year’s Thanksgiving season, as the days pass and we begin to move into the next holiday and live our lives, challenge yourself to make it a practice to express gratitude for what counts in your life. When you do this you will have more experiences that match the higher vibration of gratitude. You attract what you are so truly exist and be in the vibration of gratefulness and attract more things to be grateful for. Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving, one in which your heart overflows with love and appreciation, and of course gratitude, for everything that is love in your life.
